Vogue January 2013

Many seasons ago the mere sight of patchwork and quilts in fashion makes one automatically think of the DIY movement. Sometimes we even look back to fond memories of our grandmas quilting whenever we see them on clothes. This season has patchwork designs and quilts in abundance and instead of looking back they bring people who wear them into the future. This editorial from American Vogue is titled “Material Girls” and it features some of these pieces styled by Camilla Nickerson on models Karlie Kloss and Edie Campbell. The pieces featured in the editorial are from Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Marni and many others. The images are part of American Vogue’s January 2013 issue and they’re all lensed by photographer Craif McDean.
